Introduction
The Dragon’s Egg is the largest and rarest white conch pearl ever found, as certified by the President of the American Pearl Company on August 25th, 2016. But it is the remarkable Faberge-quality setting of the pearl which gave the gem its name and has added to its lore and stunning value. Fashioned decades ago in Hong Kong to commemorate the Chinese Year of the Dragon, this perfectly symmetrical 86.24-carat oval pearl is found clutched tightly in the talons of a 24-carat pure golden dragon festively decorated with rare Burmese rubies, and Mandarin-Orange and green Demantoid garnets. For what may arguably be the most unique single-pearl necklace in history. One with a history of its own to match.
